Has anyone installed one in their truck? I've been given the go ahead to get one installed so what's the best bang for the buck?

I've got a crew cab and this is mostly for my kiddos on long trips so head rest monitors would probably be a good choice.

Let me know what you guys have done. :drink

I was checking out the ones at best buy and they look decent. Especially since they will install it for you. Im not sure what brands or anything. But, I like the kind that go in the middle of the cealing then fold down

I did the Alpine Headrest monitors with wireless head phone. It is great. I used the IWA-W505 monitor up front. It works great b/c of the dual zone feature. So I get to listen to my Ipod while my daughter watches movies in the back. I got a pretty good deal on it all since I used e-bay. Don't know how much install would cost since I did my own.

My buddy already had everything installed when I purchased the truck and I love them. I have a Kenwood head unit that plays with the two rear head rest monitors. My little boys love riding in my truck especially on trips. I will get the name brand of the rear monitors as they have a great picture and have worked flawlessly. I think he ordered all his parts and we know a guy that does installs on the side for cash and he is very reasonable. Here are a couple pics.

I did mine but any descent installer can do it. I would look around at their work before hand. Make sure they do quality work.

I'm going to go by Best Buy today and Car Toys to see what they can offer. I'll let you know what I find and the cost for the install.

How have you liked the dvd players?
What are the model numbers of the units?

Thanks

I know this is almost a 2 year thread, but as Tony asked questions about that set up, I'm also considering it.

Does anyone now the quality of an aftermarket Kit, or better off getting the GM kit?

I found a GM part No. 22840269 and prices varies from $1,400 - $1,700

Any inputs out there...

Daniel
