The CTS2 CTS3 look very similar so I wonder if the same mount will work for both? I looked but couldn't find anything either. I'd call Edge and ask them about it or ask if they're fixing to come out with one for the 3

A quick google search isn't giving me any options for the 2018 Chevy and a pillar mount. Edge makes a center console mount that I think is cool, but it isn't the pillar mount you're looking for. I see a janky looking pillar mount on their site that allows you to use an adapter with the CTS2/CTS3 on a 2017 pillar:

I agree. I don’t like the center console mount especially since it is listed for the CTS2- that means the 3 will probably not fit flush not to mention having to take your eyes off the road to look at it. The pillar mount that edge offers looks cheap and why couldn’t they make one that matches the interior- nothing we can paint will look a good as color molded plastic. Edge really dropped the ball on this one unless they have something in production. I don’t like the suction cup mount at all so I may have a brand new CTS3 for sale in the near future.

There is a thread on this already that is where I got it. It is all RAM parts. Very easy to do and it is been perfect for me love it.

Does that interfere with using the handle to get in and out of the truck?

 

No it sure doesn’t I have no problems with grabbing the handle to get in and my truck is lifted 5” also.

 

You can always tilt the screen down more too to make more room for the grab handle but honestly I don’t have a problem grabbing it but I honestly don’t use the grab handle that often myself.

 

Here is the cleanest mount I have found. Not color matched but they do have some different color options. I like the translucent blue, it is more a transparent black. If you put a bright flashlight to it, it does have a dark blue color to it.

I dont want to hijack your thread. I just ordered the CTS3 today. When installing the cable from the port to the CTS3, what’s the best routing?
Is it possible to get it behind the trim panels?
2019 Chevy 2500HD Silverado HC

 

Left into the driver’s side fuse box and under dash. Should be able to tuck it in so it disappears.

I went behind the trim panel for the fusebox. Only exposed where it pops out up top to connect to the CTS3.

That's what I did too. Pretty easy to have a nice clean install.

 

I installed my CTS3 using the mount described above and have had good results. Boutlght the pieces of Amazon. 2 screws into the handle made me cringe but don't plan to remove it anytime soon. Doesn't interfere with using the handle when getting in. Doesn't obstruct the corner of the windshield.

I did the same cringing while screwing the ball on. I figured worst case I could replace that peice reasonably cheap. After 4 years of driving with it in that location I really like it there. In the summer time with the windows down at a traffic light sometimes the guy on my left asks what it is (he is usually in a truck).

 

Yep I have had mine there for well over a year now and love it in the handle. Easy to see when driving and honestly it looks good and clean look.
