HP TUNERS IS ALSO WORKING TO BE ABLE TO TUNE FORD AND DODGE DIESELS ALL I KNOW IS IF THIS HAPPENS WERE IN TROUBLE IM NOT A FAN OF FORD OR DODGE BUT DAMN IF THE DODGE CAN STAY TOGETHER BEING TUNED BY EFI OR HP THEY ARE REALLY GOING TO LIGHT IT UP BUT THEY NEED TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET THE TRUCKS TO STAY TOGETHER FIRST:neener
First off nothing wrong with your D-max. I love them.
But for the keeping a dodge together. Realy? I have an 04 race truck. Stock internals in the engine. Full competion truck. Runs 10.5's @ 132mph on fuel only. Keeping it together is a lot easier than you think.

And yes EFI LIVE is in the works for the cummins CR. I actualy know of a engine that it is being tested on right now.

Fully built engine on a engine dyno. I talk with the guys the other day. Want to remain silent at this time. But they had made some nasty increases over what a smarty or other power box was doing on the same engine.
All i can say is the guy thats plying with it has done a ton of gm's. And he said and i quote. "EFI on these cummins, OMG".
He wouldn't say rpm, hp, ramps, spool, nothing.

Like I said he wouldn't say much. But a custom tune for a built engine no matter what it is is the right way to go. If I could get something like that for mine. I know damn well that she'd be even more nutty than it aready is.

If you talk to the bigger tuning guys for EFI Live most will say its in the works and should be as good as the stuff for the d-maxs.

I'm just stating some stuff I was told by a tunner. I personaly don't do the EFI as of yet. If not it wouldn't be the first time I've been lied to.

But I do know for sure that it is in the works.

Why do you think all its going to do is smoke. Mine on fuel only with the right set up of fuel system to turbo and the little I can do with a smarty once I get going down the track I have a light haze out the stacks. Not a heavy cloud of smoke.

For the cheaper than a cummins to go fast. Yes to a certain point. I have built engines for all three brands and the 11.99 and faster trucks are done cheaper with a cummins for the fact that the internals will take the beating.
I not here to start a battle whats better a cummins or a d-max. I'll admit my next toy will be powerd by a lbz. But i still love my cummins cr.

im just messing with you. not all dodge owners are ignorant smoke lovers, just like not all cops are doughnut eating a**holes...its just a lot are and it ruins it for the rest:cool:
That pic happened to be one were I was sleeping at the lights during qualification passes. I never got a chance to spool the turbo, left the line at an idle. Yes than she smoke hard until the turbo lights.

Heres my truck on a run when I was ready. Still more smoke than I'd like but pretty clean for the size injector, pumps, and single turbo.

I'll run the 1/8mile and the 1/4 mile. I love drag racing period.
Been racing my entire life. Tried truck pullin and didn't care for it much. To many rules on how you make your power.

The truck runs a 6.8 1/8 mile and a 10.50 1/4 on fuel only. We tried some spray but with stock suspension and street tires she was all over the place.

I love what I do for the sport of it. Not cause I think one truck is better than the other.

I found out this morning. I had the guy tell me a little more sence I was getting my a$$ handed to me on here for sharing what I thought was cool info.
Its not efi live persay. They are using it as a refrence of some sorts to program a custom stand alone ecm.
So my bad.
