By any chance did you buy a wix/napa gold if so get rid of it. "Bad"
At least pick up the A/C Delco # TP3012
Return the fiberglass fuel filter and get your $$ back.

Try priming the button on the filter next time it does it. If it fires right up then youve got air in your system. Probably leaking seals in your filter head. You can change the seals yourself. Get the kit from Merchant Automotive.com

If your security light is on/blinking the truck's computer thinks it's being stolen. This is why it quits. Usually I find the problem to be in the ignition switch on most GM vehicles. You sig does not show what truck you have, some will start then stall, others will not crank over when the theft system is on. Also I see your truck is in NY, we have alot of salt here. I find fuel sending unit's with holes corroded through them causing hard starts, stalling.

There was this similar problem your having on the 07.5 and 08 there was a update in mid 08 to correct the issue with the anti theft system. It should have been corrected but maybe something to look into as well.

Do you have a remote starter? If so then the bypass module may either be giving out, or need to be reprogramed.

Update: Trucks starts and runs fine on flat ground. my driveway at one part is uphil and when its parked their it wont start. also the door lock light on the dash in upper left corner is on?? this the security issue you were talking about?

Do you have a huge load of keys hanging off the lock cylinder?

Try using just one key and see if that makes any difference when on the hill.
