Going to do a EGR delete on my 08 LMM, was told that I didn’t need the up pipe, was also told that the best way to get rid of the code was to just turn it off. Wanting to verify this information before I get too involved in this.

Depends on what you want to do. Can just turn it off in the tuning and leave it at that. Or if you're pulling it all off the truck do a new y bridge. Can get a delete tube weld the upipe shut or get an lb7 one and a blocker plate. Check out profab they have some nice pieces to do so.

You can also use the stock Y Bridge and a Sinister EGR Delete Kit.

It comes with brackets to support the intake pipe and up pipe so you do not have to replace them

You can also use a blocker plate and leave the EGR Cooler in place.

So no matter what I do I have to either get an up pipe a blocker plate or a lb7 pipe. I cannot just leave the EGR cooler the way it is without one of those three. That’s what I thought but the husband said that I could. Thanks guys!!
