I'm thinking of installing a small electric heater somewhere out of the way in my interior and wire it so my block heater and the interior heater use the same plug. I realize they both are highly resistive and will draw a lot of amps. There are many factors at play here.

If you have done this can you please share your experience and any unforseen problems you encountered?

Make sure it has a thermostat control, so it does not get to hot.

Interior car warmers were common up here back in the '70's. There were different designs. Some hung from the rear view mirror and some mounted under the dash. I used to run the wire out to the front so that when plugging in, both the block heater and the interior heater could be at the same place. If I looked around real good, I could probably still find a couple of my old heaters.
