Ok,
I was running the old school edge ez(it was on the truck when i bought it)...its been bogging real bad under wot. like it wont go you have to let off the skinny pedal...it almost makes a popping sound. not like something is blowing up just like its loosing fuel. i'm changing the fuel filter tonight so hopefully that clears it up. just put the edge j/a on last night and it still does it. please tell me its just the fuel filter and not injectors???
thanks:help

every 2000 miles?? thats a little OCD don't you think? They'll easily go at the VERY minimum 7-8k unless you get a bad batch of fuel or several.

Lift pump would be my second choice of correcting the problem after the fuel filter. It is likely that since he hasn't changed it for around 10k miles that it is indeed the problem. A lift pump certainly wouldn't hurt, though I doubt it is the issue at hand.

yeah but its only and edge you think it would fuel limp?
My Edge J/A only needs the lift pump on Lvl's 5/6. It is "fuel limp" but that's because the filter is too dirty to let the fuel pass through. I am 99.99% sure you will see a drastic difference with a new filter. The Edge EZ is the same as the Edge J/A without the attitude monitor, and is comparable to the Level 3 on the Edge J/A. I used to be an Edge dealer. It is possible to "fuel limp" your truck with the Edge.

You mean I need to change fluids and filters????? lol I agree with the other guys that it's probably your fuel filter because mine got to where it wouldn't accelerate shortly after I bought it used last year and it was about to tick me off till my brain finally engaged and I changed the fuel filter and it was all good after that. Sometimes it's the simplest things that frustrate us the most because we look for something complicated or major.
