i have 120K on my 15 and over 6000 hours. apparently the previous owner liked to have warm toes..... a lot.

The way i typically assess this is total miles / engine hours gives you trucks average MPH over its life. So in your case 173,000 / 5100 = ~34 MPH average. The higher the MPH the less idling the truck has done. In my case im closer to 20 MPH so my truck has idled a lot. A truck that was closer to 50-60 spent its whole life on the highway idling very very little, and a truck closer to 0 mph idles most of its life.
31,000 miles 810.5 hours on a 2019. Averages out to 82 miles a day, my normal commute to and from work is 20 miles round trip!!!! Average speed is 38.24 miles per hour.
Got 25,130 miles on a 2016. I'll have to report back with the hours. She spends most of her time in the garage. Just did my first 5k mile oil change for the year since November of 2018 😂

Mine had 5800 hours and 150k miles. Before it was making big hp and drove it daily I idled alot. Whether it was winter to keep it warm, summer to keep it cold, it idled I'd let it run if I wasn't going to be in somewhere longer than a half hr.

Keyword in this sentence is HAD :rofl. The new truck is badass tho:gearjamin
Might be back in an lb7 next week:)
2011 with 179,077mi and 5,543.8hrs. I think my truck was idled a good bit buy the first owner (bought truck with 60,000mi), I don't let it idle much.
Check this, 318800miles with 4329 hours. With the math above I'm at 73. Evidently my truck can fly.🤪
2007.5, full delete, efi and leveled. Pretty standard truck.
04 lb7 336,000 miles. 10,030 hours. Going strong.

Some of the older trucks have been known to have the engine hours reset on their own for no apparent reason.

did your engine hours roll over or something? that cant possibly be right.
It's digital, so I don't think it rolled over. The first owner hauled over road, racked up almost 200k in 3 years,
when I got it.
06 lbz 174,000 miles. 3,130 hours
So far on my 11 I have 18,295 hrs and 911,944 miles. And avg of 49 mph and it does idle quite a bit.

Holy Batman thats alot of miles! How has the truck been? What have you replaced?
Ball joints about 375,000. Did a turbo about 420,000. Transfer case about 650,000. Head gasket at 710,000. Water pump at 750,000. Rear end bearings at 850,000. Definitely can’t complain.
