Hay this trucks my first diesel going to need an oil change soon so how much oil will this thing take and what kinda oil should i run thanks! o yeah how often should i change fuel filters are they hard to change thanks

You need 10 quarts. I guess you know which brand I recommend, but going with synthetics is important IMHO no matter which brand you use.

The intervals on oil and filter depend on the manufacturer of the filters.

As for the Fuel filter, I change mine between 7500-10K miles, some do it every oil change, but the fuel filter would not last anywhere near the interval of the oil I run. They can be tough for a first timer, but take your time and you will be fine...

I use to run 15w-40, but made the change to 5w-40 this past winter. That depends a lot on where you live, if you are in a hotter climate, 15w-40 may be better for you, although our 5w-40 provides great heat AND cold protection. Being in Canada, I would recommend 5w-40 all year round. That way you get the cold flow properties of the 5w at start up, and you can still run it year round....

10 qyarts equals 9.45 liters.

I use to run the shell rotella t oil, but i'm switching to ams oil next change. i would give them a shot and go with the preferred customer pricing. good deals
