Has anybody removed the stock muf. and replaced with perf. muf. or strait pipe or is it a waist of time.

i had the banks 4" cat-back ever since i got my truck, and 2 weeks ago i removed the cat and muffler so it's straight pipe turbo-back... i definately felt an increase in power, and it sounds AWESOME when you get on it hard. not too much louder at idle or highway speeds either. for the price of a muffler delete pipe ($40-$50) i say it's worth it... go for the downpipe too if you can.

I agree mine is 4in. straight from the turbo back and it does sound awesome. Plus the noise isn't bad at all.
