extended warranties?

I got a GM extended warranty when i bought my truck used 2 years ago. I paid $2000 extra for it and it was only good for 2 years. Im glad i got it cuz of the warranty work that needed to be done down the road. The only down side is my truck cost a little more cuz i added the warranty to the loan. I remember some people saying they got an extend warranty for free, but im not 100% sure if that really happened. When i was looking at a 07 chevy 2500 z71 ext cab with a 8'fisher plow(shoulda bought the truck), i asked about the extended warranty and it was gonna cost me the same and be the same kinda deal.

I got one from GM as well when I bought my truck.
My dad owns a auto repair buisness. IMO alot of the aftermarket warranty companies are junk! There a pain to get some things coverd. IIRC on of the best is Cars warranty
