So hopefully I will be taking delivery of My Precious around Thanksgiving. What I'm wondering is, is it worth it to buy the extended warranty? How difficult/expensive is it to do your own oil changes on the Duramax? Does doing it yourself void the warranty?

In an unrelated note, does anyone know the range/limitations/issues with the Sierra Denali remote start feature?

As for the remote start, the range is 60m (195 ft) away from
the vehicle.

doing your own maintenance should in no way void your warranty because a warranty does not cover that anyway.

another limitation to the remote start is that it can only be ran twice for 10 minutes each time before a physical key in ignition start is required. so basically you can only run it for 20 minutes before you have to go use the key to start it.
