Problem to overcome; -12an lines to match the flow volume of the Dmax. Sandwich adapter (earl's) is only -10an. However, you can port the I.D. on the adapter to match -12an, then add bushings to bump up to -12an lines to/fro the cooler out front..
The thin wall at that point doesn't matter, as you're running low (under 100) psi, getting the volume flow needed.
Parts priced out for your DIY kit; the big expense beyond the cooler (trans cooler coil) and sandwich, is all of the Alum fittings for the hoses. Those are priced like they're gold plated.
Parts total (last I checked) was 'round $750.
There are those who say -10an is just fine. However, if you look at the specs on both, -10an comes up short on max volume flow, whereas -12an max is just above the Dmax flows. So you're covered.
