should have been a magnet on the top of the old filter, check again to make sure,if not you may want to get one. also you may want to tighten it pretty good,i have heard of some guys saying they come loose.

You definetly want to give it about a 1/2 turn after hand tight. Sometimes the old gasket stays stuck to the trany and then you have 2 gaskets when you put the new filter on. It will weap for sure then.

I just changes my filter and crawled under 100 miles later to notice the filter had fluid on it. I always crank it hand tight to.

With the magnet. Id definatly make sure you have one. If you dont I wouldnt stop driving it but Id order one.
