I have a 2006 duramax.I failed emissions cause my check engine light wouldn’t come on when they turned my key to the on spot. Pulled my cluster out to see if the bulb was there and it was all my other lights turn on. I thought I could change the bulb out but it looks like it can’t be replaced? Has anyone else had this problem. Do I need to replace the whole cluster ?

May be something inside of the cluster and as simple as corrosion on an electrical connection. Replacing the assembly may be required. With a truck that old should not be a problem getting one in a junk yard. Do not know if GM will stock parts that old.

IP's are often repaired/rebuilt. You don't need a new one.
