After seeing a ton of threads in just the past week all asking about tuning an lml I decided to start this thread that can be referenced instead of retyping the same thing over and over. Some of these will be my own threads I started when I was a noob. Feel free to add to the list.

-Air intake and filtration

Q. Do I need a cold air intake (CAI)?
A. No. The stock intake assembly offers better filtration than any of the aftermarket assemblies. However, aftermarket CAIs offer improved air flow, slight increases in fuel economy and support high power engine builds.

Q. Best cold air intake?
A. aFe stage 2 (Joker's pick). Personal preference plays a big part here.
Reference: http://www.duramaxforum.com/forum/general-discussion/155262-best-intake.html

Q. Dry or oiled air filter element?

A. A dry element will offer good filtration, excellent air flow and requires next to no maintenance. An oiled element will offer excellent filtration, good air flow and requires minor maintenance. An over oiled element will lead to fouled sensors downstream of the filter. Mass Air Flow (MAF) and Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensors may need to be cleaned more often when using an oiled element vs. dry.

A. No, its only a monitor.

Q. Should I get a h&s mini maxx or the xrt pro?

A. Xrt pro with an edge insight to monitor with, bigger screen, more gauges.

Please don't make a thread about your specific trailer weight and tune because JOKER will come unglued on you :thumb

There is a lot I have forgot and left out but I will add as it comes to me, feel free to post any others.

Right now I am working in conjunction with my good friend JOKER to organize this under headings for different things so that it will be easier to navigate and find help on. There is a lot left to add so keep checking back for updates.

This is a great idea. Please if there is something that you would like added to the list post it up. All other posts will be removed so we can keep this thread open and clean.

I am also making it a stickey so it stays on top.
