Just picked up my new truck today.
2004 chevy dmax 4x4 40,000 miles. 35in tires.

well my question is on the gas milage... i looked on the average its getting and saw a suprising 9 avg mpg..... it kinda shocked me because i thought these were supposed to get "good" milage.?! my only thoughts were maybe from in being test drivin a bunch people have just been floorin it?? any ideas? thanks!

Yeah...bigger tires means worse gas mileage.....and on top of that..once you do bigger tires....you might as well not even trust what the onboard computer says. Start calculating it by hand. It should be a little higher than 9.

i'm guessing your mileage is closer to 11 or 12mpg but get a Diablo or PPE tuner and reset your speedo and check your fuel economy by hand verse the computer..
