find out if the injectors have been changed. I have not had one of the LB7's but I hear thats something to look for.
good buy even if the injectors were changes from the dealership dosent help need aftermarket ones but thats the only real con
First thing is to see if the injectors were ever changed since they just went out of warrenty. Also see how well kept the truk was. I rather have a well kept diesel with 200000 miles then one torn to hell with 50000
If you plan on towing, the lift will impact that. I personaly stay away from lifted trucks. Not cause of the lift alone, but what some "hack" instlling a lift and tearing things up.
whats the average cost for new injectors and installation

4-5 k about
new injectors put in by the shop will bring you about $5K. Injectors are about $1500 and install can be upwards of $3500. And there is not such thing as AFTERMARKET INJECTORS. You can only get remanufactured injectors or remans with a % over. I would also check to see if it has the Allison in it. I keep thinking that the first Duramaxes didnt come with Allisons but I someone will have to correct me. As for the lift, it causes undue strain on the front hub bearings, tie rods, idler and pitman arms. They wear out faster. So I would check to see if these are bad before buying the truck.

If you do it yourself around 2,000 and as far as replacing with aftermarkets and being safe,,,, good luck and that comes from one of the top duramax tunners on this and many sites...
Hell ya! That sounds like a dang good deal to me! The lift alone is worth 2000. As long as its in good shape Id buy it. Do you have pics or a link to it?

Like stated the 01-03 had problems with the injectors. Other than that there great trucks :rockin

Only the Vans with duramax don't have the Allison, all the trucks that came with a duramax or 8.1 had an Allison.
