Hello, I have a 2015 LML (all stock) with 95,000 miles. Yesterday, I stopped to fill up with diesel. The pump did not not stop when full, and some diesel spilled out. This was at a gas station that I use regularly, using normal sized pump. I'm hoping that it was a one time thing. But, upon looking at the filler, the metal piece that covers the tank seems to be missing. Is this a big deal? Would this piece be included with the fuel filler neck? I am having trouble finding any place to buy the the fuel filler neck for this truck. Thanks in advance.

spill over is a pump handle issue not caused by your truck

This may help. But I don’t remember if there is anything there without looking. I gas burners have one.

My truck is a lmm but it doesn’t have that flapper.

I think that’s a gas thing with something to do with the evap system

The 3.0L dmax 1500's use the flapper system.
