I just changed the fuel filter on my '06 LBZ (all went well) now I'm tring to reset the fuel filter life guage, I used the fuel/brake method but it wont reset. does anyone know about this prob?

does your truck have the steering wheel controls?if so use the button on the right lower corner of the steering wheel and hit that untill you see fuel filter life and then push and hold the left lower button for roughly 3 sec.s or untill it resets..hope this helps

I changed my fuel filter the other day on my '06 LBZ. Do just as Tyreboyz described, but it takes ~10 - 15 sec of holding the reset button (lower right on the steering wheel) to reset.

How do you re set it if it doesnt have the controls on the steering wheel? Mine doesnt have it.

I sounds like you already tried this... But here is the official procedure.

For vehicles without steering wheel controls, do the
following:
1. Without pressing the pedals, turn the ignition key to
the on position without starting the engine.
2. Wait five seconds.
3. Completely press the brake and the accelerator
pedals simultaneously and hold for ten seconds.
The system is now reset.
4. Turn the ignition key off.
The next time the engine is started, the message will
no longer be displayed. Always reset the FUEL FILTER
LIFE system after a fuel filter change.
