Im sure this thread has been around but i am currently replacing rockers and cab corners and removing the box to do so, so i figured id fix my fuel gauge problem as well. i have an 02 lb7 and my fuel gauge usually says full but then it moves to where ever it pleases. So im just wondering what i can do to fix this. ive looked into getting just the sensor but you cant do that for the diesels apparently without buying the whole fuel pump and everything which i do not need so anyone have this problem and have a solution to fix it???

First there is no fuel pum in the tank-- of course the price makes you think there is.

Dorman [been making auto parts for a 100 years] makes the sender part-- and you use everything else on your gauge. Costs about $30.

Dorman 911-005 Sender

Our sister site has a write up on how to install and modify the sender.
