Ok so I've been smelling Fuel for a few months now and its just starting to get worse.. I've had it to the dealer and they don't see where its leaking or where its coming from.. I've had my nose and head just about everywhere on this truck. The smell obviously seems to be coming from under the hood but I'm unsure what side or where a bouts.. I don't see anything leaking wet or dirty.. Any ideas?? Seems worse while idling..

Help!

I have the same issue when my a/c is pulling outside air. I usually put it on recirculation mode and it helps. Is this normal?

Check all your injector lines and around the pump. Also check around the fuel filter head

check bottom of fuel filter WIF sensor or aorund the filter head. Sometimes they will leak and drip onthe exhaust so you wont see the leak on the ground because it just burns off. So unless you actually see the drip you can't really tell unless you specifically look for it.

Hmm.. First thanks for moving it here..

I've checked the Filter area thinking first off thats where it would be leaking but nothing.. Also I noticed it today in the cab when I had my A/C running also..

Guess I'll be checking these other places next..

Thanks guys

So the main feed goes from the tank to the motor and not from the tank to the filter? Where would I find these connections at? THis is starting to irritate me!

It is probally a cracked T in the fuel return line from the injectors. They are wrapped in a black harness material and the leaks can be hard to find. If you closely examine the return line harness material you can feel the fuel (slippery) and smell in on your fingers, plus the leak area will hold more dirt than the rest of the harness. You most likely won't see any evidence of fuel bc it evaporates before it ever gets to run down onto anything visible. Check all these T connections I think there are 6, 3 per side.
