I don't know how hard it is to hotwire a chevy, but I locked the keys in my truck and had broken into it in less than ten minutes without a scratch...but I still love my chevy...even if it is easy to break into.

After workin on fords dodges and chevy trucks and having the ignitions out of all of them they are all pretty easy is you know what you are doin. I would say that the older 99 to 03 superdutys are the easiest. But if someone would steal a chevy they wouldn't get very far with the onstar tellin the cops where the theif is

onstar can be disabled too... pretty sure there's a fuse that can be pulled, not 100% though

I've heread them older dodges are pretty easy to get into and take. Punch out the door lock, then they break the "ring" on the ignition.

My truck got broken into about a month after I bought it. They stole my gps, sunglasses and my hand sanitizer without setting off the factory alarm. They didn't take my 2 tool bags full of expensive tools....go figure.

Mine was stolen about 10 days after I bought it with my trailer and mowers hooked up, about 10k worth including trailer. They are all easy to steal when you know what you are doing and on star is no good if your not paying for that part of the service. It is also pretty easy to disable. They found my truck 24 hrs after I reported and never found my trailer or my equipment. From what I was told, and it makes sense to me, the our trucks are stolen more often due to the 1/2, 3/4 and 1 ton models all using the same sheet metal.
