No check engine light, but I ran the scanner because it feels sluggish

Hi guys, I scanned my truck last night and the truck had multiple codes
P0674 CYLN 4 GLOW PLUG CIRCUT OPEN
P0673 CYLN 3 GLOW PLUG CIRCUT OPEN
P0678 CYLN 8 GLOW PLUG CIRCUT OPEN
P0676 CYLN 6 GLOW PLUG CIRCUT OPEN

P0540 INTAKE AIR HEATER A CIRCUT

This is my first Dmax, so I'm learning as I go. However, does any know why half of the glow plugs would go bad? or is this a common maintenance thing? Any help is much appreciated<img src="http://www.mysmiley.net/imgs/smile/confused/confused0082.gif" border="0" alt="" title="confused0082" class="inlineimg" /><img src="http://www.mysmiley.net/imgs/smile/confused/confused0082.gif" border="0" alt="" title="confused0082" class="inlineimg" />.

There's a sequence you need to follow to diagnose it but it's pretty simple. If you don't have ALLDATAdiy you might want to check it out. It walks you through the diagnostics starting with the basic checks. I think it's like $30 for a year or $50 for 5 years and for me it has paid for itself time and again. I just had a P0674 pop up yesterday but haven't checked it out yet other than a quick look at ALLDATA. I've had engine harness issues since I bought the truck new so won't be surprised to find that to be the problem in my case.
