I have noticed that the WTS light varies from start to start in the same weather. At times it will turn off within 2-4 seconds and sometimes it takes 7-10 seconds. Would this be a controller issue or do I maybe have a couple of bad glow plugs? The WIS light never fails to go out.

On some of the real cold nights hee mine has been staying on longer, but it seems to be how long its been sitting has more effect on it than actuall outside temps if it only sits 2 hours the light barely even comes on!

05_LLY,

Maybe that's what I am noticing. Since I haven't had this truck that long I'll wait to see how the WTS operates this summer.

Your glow plugs come on due to the engine temp not the ambient temp.
