They're not bad to replace. Pull the wheels and either pull the liners out of the way or remove them. Drivers side is the worst..
You need to do a learn procedure also.

I thought one on the pass side was blocked by the EGR? Like #3 maybe? Or was it just a bear to get on?

It's been a while.

 

Just bend the heat shield to access 3, then bend back again.

 

Not sure if the warranty was extended on the 2017-2019s but I'll check. I also just fund a TSB related to this as well.

Sadly the extended warranty does not apply to 2017s...

 

I knew LML's were covered on the glow plug ext warranty. Wasn't sure about L5P.

 

I think there is one for 2018 and 19s

I wonder what the difference is between the 2017 and 2018/19 in which the 17 is not covered? Using older LML glow plug tech and programming, perhaps?

 

Sounds like if you have an '18 or '19, you're probably covered.

 

Don't know why, but 17s don't have the special coverage.. 18 and 19 do.. Same glow plugs.

 

The glow plugs in the 2017 to 2019 year models are on a recall.. just call your local dealership and tell them this is happening..

My dealer replaced my #3 glow plug for free but charged me about $400 to re-program the glow plug controller. Not too happy about that.

 

Whatever was yours . Mine is 2017. Are it really recalled ? Mine is glow plug #8
