Glow plugs???

Yes it does...all duramax's have glow plugs. The indicator light looks like a little curly line on the upper left of the instrument cluster.

i have never seen the light on my truck and the guy at the dealer said there was no glow plugs on that year.. i have never herd of a deisel with no glow plugs..is there any other way i can find out..

Maybe your light is burned out. When you first turn the key on you should have all the lights come on in the cluster. If you're not having starting issues, I wouldn't worry too much about it. To my knowledge, all duramax's came with glow plugs.

Yeah and there has been a recall on them. It's a programming thing. They will need to be reprogrammed on certain trucks. I'll see if I can find the article.
