I'm being told this package is mandatory when ordering a Denali Ultimate. Might be the case with other models too but that's what I ordered. Is this correct? Anyone else hear this before? It's a $1,540 option that I don't need or want. If I do in fact have to get this will this mean I will have extra holes in the bed of the truck? Sorry if this is basic knowledge but I don't the answers so I'm asking.
It's definitely optional. And it does put holes in your bed, with covers. You can see the covers on the front two holes. All 5 are like that from the factory.

Sounds like your dealer is either dumb or taking you for a ride.

I had a B&W turnover ball on the LBZ I just sold. The factory GN prep on my new 2024 seems just as good. I did buy the B&W ball kit, didn't like the way the factory/Curt system installed.

I haven't used a conventional fifth wheel hitch on either one, so can't speak to that. I have a Goosebox on my 5th wheel, so it's straight gooseneck connection for me.

Does you B&W ball turnover and hide in the bed, round post I assume?
It might be stamped b&w but nobody at b&w will say if it was made here in the USA or not lol 😂
The companion hitch and the turnover ball are hands down the best combo in my mind
No, the kit that works with the factory prep doesn't turn over and stow. It has a flip handle/lever that locks it into place.

This is in the manual that came with my Tow & Stow hitch. Looks like B&W is proudly American made to me.
