no i got the P0093 code yesterday, which is massive fuel leak, but i have no leak, i was told it says that b/c i dont have the fuel in my rails,

so im still lost, i cant seem to get it to prime tho, no matter how long i pump it for it will not get hard to push, and if i get it close, and walk away when i get back its easy to pump again,
P0093 also come up with a high return rate from the injectors or bad CP3. After your drive it should be bleed. Clear the code, and see if it come back.


My primmer bulb never gets hard, and it runs great, and never starts hard. I pushed on other Dmax's, and they have a lot more resistance than mine.

this is from yesterday on another forum i forgot to post here

IT RAN TODAY, last sat i broke my bleeder screw and didnt have the right size so i think i was suckin air in, but today i got the right size and cut it down to size and it worked great, and i had to prime w the key on, haha maybe i just got lucky but my buddy came over and we decided to try it, got it primed, cracked lines at the end of each rail rolled it till we got fuel and hit it w/ a bit of ether she lit right up,


down side to all that, it ran good for a couple minutes, i shut it down to finish it up, put the belt on all that little stuff, fired it again, this time just w/ rollin it over but it took a little longer then it should have, smoked a bit not bad, backed down the drive noticed the smoke was pretty heavy, kinda black haze, so i took off down the road and smoke stayed, got 1/2 mile stopped at a church to turn around and she was lopin hard, and had the pulling truck smoke lope thing goin on, so i headed home, and she kept smokin, if i took off it smoke black a decent amount, got it home, it was lopin real hard and smokin bad at idle, then it kinda started a knockin sound or a bad bad miss, so i shut her down, but while running i realized i had major blow-by, i mean major, tried a couple things nothin helped. tighted the injector lines i could get to went to try to restart it and nothin, wont start, hit it w/ ether she fires right up, idles great for a second then goes into that huge lope,

the kicker is there is no codes, not a single one, so i think the dealer will give me what i want out of it and im gonna off this truck and try somethin else,

but before i do that, tomorrow im tearin down the to the vavle so i can re-tighten my injector lines, b/c i seen 2 have a bit of fuel building on top of them, and im tearin out the middle so i can replace all the rubber lines

im not worried about the miss im more wondering about the blow by, b.c nothin i did has to do w/ the crank case, unless i blew a hole in a piston haha, but it idles good for a sec so thats not it,

this is from today

today i retightened my injector lines, got them tight, primed the truck just a bit and she lit right up, still smokin like a puller and a bit of a lope out of it, so i let it run for like 10min, and the lope got quieter but was still there, took it down the road same thing still there but not bad, but still smokin like a train, got like 500yards turned around stopped about 250yards from dads drive way, to talk to him and it started runnin rough and really started smokin so i put my foot to the floor for that 250 yards and ram rodded into to the shop and decided it has to be my fuel filter, or i got screwed by daves diesel in which case ill take my truck to gm and have them check it, when it comes back bad injectors ill fight w/ daves diesel b/c i just paid and they said my injectors were fine,

ok so ummm i just got a new fuel filter from napa, and its plastic haha,

ok so today i scanned it instead of my dad doin it and then callin me,

heres what i got, good rail pressure usually 5900+ every once and awhile it would drop to 5790 i think was the lowest when it started runnin like crap but those numbers should be good

im not sure what the injection timing should be at but mine said inj timing at 3 and pilot timing at 11-12 i dont know if any of that matters or not but i know i have a bad injector its gonna be,


so its goin to GM on monday for them to test them and go from there,

i dont see how it could be! unless i missed a wire on top of an injector! that would piss me right off!

no i didnt get time to get it here into town, its about 15min away at my dads shop, but w/ the knock i dont want to chance meltin a piston so im gonna have it towed!

my buddy's gonna tow it for me hopefully on friday so they can scan it right away friday!

and ill let you guys know, there seems to be about 10 guys havin the same issues right now no joke haha, i've got alot of pms askin what to do! and for suggestions!

ok, so heres the update.........

tech II said #6 isnt even close to right, it was sticking open,

so the place i had test them Daves Diesel out of Angola, Indiana had one of thier guys that lives 10 min from my dads come out to look at it, and tear into it, he's the one that tested it w/ the tech II, well once in there he said it was b/c i had a loose injector hold down, sounds fishy, im goin there tomorrow mornin to figure out that injector and get new return line seals

i know that the tech II is never wrong, i just think its kinda fishy, him sayin my hold down wasnt on there tight, i know i torqued those down, heres how, in the steps i started on the pass. side

1) torque it till it clicks, then make it click again to be sure
2) move on and do the same thing to each one on the pass side
3) go through pass side and check each one,
4) move to driver side and repeat steps 1-3,

this isnt the first time i've been inside a motor, i think they are tryin to cover thier azzes b/c they tested an injector and it was bad but they said it was good,

either way i guess, they did send one of thier mechanics to my house, and he did tear it down in like 2 hours haha, so now i just have to get a good injector and put it in and she'll be back together and good as new,

SHE RUNS! i changed out that injector #6,

actually it was kinda wierd haha, for 1 i felt like a pro!

2) i wasnt gonna change the cup b/c i figured it was seated or it would have pulled w/ the injector, boy was i wrong! i slid the new injector in and tapped it down into its spot, well i was tryin to teach a little kid some mechanic skills, and i was explaining stuff to him and i got to explain the ping you should hear when its seated right, so i rushed and forgot to put the hold down on haha, so i had to pry out the injector i just put in, and THE CUP CAME OUT! im kinda glad i did that now haha, that cup would have leaked for sure!

but i put a new cup in and went from there, only took about 3hrs of workin to change that injector and put the whole driver side back together! not bad i figured!

only sucky thing is i had to pick one of mine that were tested and werent as good as the other 4 of mine. so i have a bit of a haze again but im not worried about it, its mostly only noticable at night,

but my coolant system doesnt pressurize so that means my 5 cups i pulled was my coolant problem!

if any one has any ?'s on how i did anything or what to do let me know, im easy to talk to haha,

ok so bad news,


the D-Max is DEAD AGAIN! i havent beat on it yet, and today just cruisin down the road, it lost power, started smokin like a train and started knockin, its another stuck open injector, thats 2 that have screwed up since DAVES DIESEL in Angola Indiana tested them, i do not recomend any one take anything to them ever!

its at GM right now so they can hook thier tech 2 to it and tell me what injector is out

It make me sick just to think about all the trouble you've had!
I am glad I am not in your shoes!


I am not trying to be a prick, but I think the lesson we can all learn from this, is to never use used injectors.......

If it were me I think I would check into getting new or remanifactured ones.

i dont think the problem is that they were used, b/c if there's nothin wrong w/ them when tested, the same way new ones are tested, then they should work flawlessly,

were the problem is...... shops that try to screw ppl, i dont know how clean thier testing facility was, or how clean the liquid used was, i know they didnt test them w/ diesel fuel, i just find it hard to believe they even tested them right when i get them back and they fail right away after the shop told me they would work great,
