Wondering if any one has greased there cv joints if there a trick or tip etc
When I turn have a popping nosie from the drivers side

Pretty sure it's the cv

Replaced both wheel bearings a fee thousand miles ago with dmax store hubs

Check upper and lower ball joints for play. Check tie rods and pitman / idler arms

All tht except pit man an idler were replaced not to long ago haven truck realigned tomorrow

How would u check the ball joints for play exactly?

You can't grease to cv's un less you open them up.
To check ball joints jack up the truck under the LCA. Put a pry bar under the tire and lift up. If you see any play in the ball joint they are bad.

You could possibly grease the cv joint with a pointed needle grease adapter on your gun but chances are your cv need to be replaced. I have one that's like a large hypodermic needle pretty sharp.

If you do this you will definitely need to replace the CV.

If the CV joint is already popping, more grease won't help, the balls already have flat spots or the curve in the joint has a worn in spot.

Only does it at low speeds turning pretty sharp bout to drop it off to get realined ima get him to look at it an tell me what he thinks

He's going to have to replace it anyways, jeez.

Actually wanna ima do is pull it out tomorrow put everything back together with out the shaft an turn to see if it's still makes a popping noise tht way I can eliminate one thing
The shop the aligned my truck said everything looks good

The CV Axel holds the hub together.

???? Pervious truck I had was a 2wd an I put 4wd hub assembly in it an drove it like tht for years

Is the popping at a steady rythym through the turn or just a pop or two when your cranking the wheel? If it's just a pop or two then it is likely the ball-joints, Upper control arms run around $140 and lowers are under $70/ea. I've quit replacing just the upper joints and started just replacing the whole upper control arms, it's faster and the cost is about the same if not cheaper for MOOG parts.

I have the Congo upper control arms 4 bolts an ball joints out
I just had it realigned yesterday an the guy said ball joints all looked good
Been goin to him for years always been straight with me

Time to replace the CV's then. You can find them online for $60-70 all day.
