Ok I'm seeing all of these trucks with the Halo lights and they look awesome! I was searching the web tonight and found some on xtralights.com.. Question is, is it worth the extra 150 bucks to get the HID lights with the projectors or stick with the LEDs? Also any other places that sell these for cheaper? These are listed for 400..

Ok anyone ursing the HID's in there HALOs? Is it worth the extra $$?

ive heard halos without hid's put out terrible lighting, but i know regular hid's really throw out some light. so if i was going to get halo's i would ABSOLOUTLY opt for the hid's.

I have HID's in my Halos....and they are def. worth the extra money. But on that note, I run the Halo lights....but I ripped out all my LEDS and just use them for headlights....and to be honest with you as well, I'm not too fond of them. I might actually be modding my stock headlights and ditching these eventually. Sometimes I just think that only 18 year old kids should be running Halos....

i have halos in mine. in my style i kept the leds in, 3 in the center and if memory is correct 4 down the side. just put in bfxenon hids 8000k in. WOW they look great IMO. and yes ebay will be cheaper

The light is efficient enough for me. I think it's a little better than stock. It is a toss up whether or not to spend the extra for me anyways. The lights they come with is good enough for me but I would like to have HID's.

mine are brighter than they were im guessing cuz its a clear lense other than the stock ones if i were you i would try them out if there not bright enough then get the bulbs

I recently purchase an 08 sierra LTZ with 25k miles for 40k with brand new mickey tompson tires, dick cepek rims, 4-in pro comp suspension lift, and front push bumper.
I was wondering though if it is possible to swap a Silverado hood with a Sierra hood because i really like the hood decals that have allison transmission on the silverado hood. Would anybody know if this is possible?

I have dick cepek rims also haha. I would just find some allison transmission decals and put them on your hood. I think the front of the hood where the headlights are is different.

Back on track I agree with DMAX05 get them, and if they're not bright enough upgrade to HID bulbs.

Only thing to remember about HALO bulbs is this..... There is a metal piece that cuts the light off at the top.....it takes awhile to get used to and most people don't like it. It's nice because you can individually adjust the halo bulbs.....but for me I'm going back to a stock headlight (sort of) and buying new HIDs.

i have eagle eyes. there is no piece on top of my style, they are round no obstruction. they do put light out the side by the front tires-out about 5 feet wich is the only differance i have found.

I was really looking forward to putting some halo headlights on my truck but when i started asking people about them they said that it is a bad upgrade because they will get hot and catch truck on fire? i love the way they look but it isnt worth burning my truck down! OR should i just get them and not worry
