Just got a 2005 lly, first diesel of my own and discovered blown headgaskets.
Just leaking enough to pressurize the coolant system, confirmed by pressurizing #2 cylinder through the glow plug hole.
So I went 1500 over budget on this truck because it was a great deal and in such cherry shape, never pulled anything.
I need:
a headgasket kit with studs
an AFE mouthpiece for a 2005lly
two sets of the wheel well liner plastic fasteners
new fan shroud plastic fasteners
an egr blockoff
and a fuel filter.
Unbelieveable the amount of crud in the intake, I have to fix this right because there is no way I want to deal with a truck with a DPF.
