I just bought a edge evolution, it was used but worked on the truck it came off of. I followed the instructions and it cleared my ECM to upload it with the fuel economy setting, I then got a error message saying there was already a program uploaded. I bought a 08 duramax last week, so i plugged the evolution into my computer, got the new downloads and now I have an error code 81, Plus my truck is dead where it sits, has power but ECM is cleared. Edge is closed and i'm stuck. Anyone help? I tried rebooting but continue to get the error message.:help

You can try disconnecting the batteries and let it sit for 10 or 15 minutes then reconnect them and try to load the programmer again and attempt to return it to stock. Hopefully your ecm isn't fried that happened to me, luckily I was able to get the $900 job done under warranty

I just went through a simular ordeal with EFI. I stopped the program though. I had to do the same thing, buy another computer.

Well at 8:01am I called Edge, (which is 5 miles form my house) by 8:45 my truck was running again, the original owner had it programmed and never returned it to stock... So they took my Vin and the engineer wrote a program specific to my needs to get my truck back to stock. BAMMM! Edge is still my #1 customer service vote!
