My truck wouldn't shift out of first, so my friend came over to check the codes but obd2 wouldn't read anything. we tried the obd2 in my sister's and dad's car and it works just fine, so I'm guessing my ECM isn't working??

do you have 12vs at the OBD2 port? check your fuses for your cig lighter

yeah sounds like you have a blown fuse.

is it 12 or 15? but I checked the fuse and it's fine.

if the code reader lights up then you have power. if it wont read sounds like to code reader isnt capable of reading that truck

so just try a different reader then?

OOPS I'm DUMB! I looked at the wrong fuse, the cig lighter fuse was out! Thanks guys!
