OK the problem is if I try to start the truck the starter just spins, i might try starting it 2or 3 times and itll spin then the next time it will start, then it might start the next few times then the starter will spin again? I replaced the starter still didnt fix the problem, I have a sb clutch and flywheel that havent been in even a year yet. Could the flywheel gears be stripped?:help

if changing the starter didnt fix it, how do you solve the problem? mines starting to do it too.

X2. Sounds like a solenoid/bendix problem, and changing the starter fixes that, I thought. The only other thing it could be is stripped gear teeth on the flywheel. WTF?

I would suggest taking the starter off and having it tested. It has been my experience if the starter spins but doesn't engage then its the solenoid. You should be able to see the teeth on the flywheel when the starter is removed it is possible there are some missing teeth which is caused by a) junk flywheel or b) misaligned starter.

wonder if the flywheel and starter arent matching and your chewwing teeth off .
