By driving lights do you mean the fog lights in the bottom valence or your headlights?

ya i am wondering if i can put hid's in the daytime lights (ones that are on during day) . I realize that they are just bulbs but don't think they will fit in daytime running lights , just wondering if anyone knows of another way of doing it ?

Or is there a way of running that low beams with the hid's during the day (other than covering up light sensor) I don't want the dash lights on all the time

Yup. thats what sylvania's website says too. haven't had too much luck searching around for you.

the 4114 bulb is an upgrade because the old bulbs burned out so fast (why you see so many silverado's with one bulb burned out).

I bet 4157 or 3157 is the same fitment.

let's try this; take out one of your bulbs and take a picture of it, we can compare what you have to what will fit... fitment is all we need to look at.

Yup, that's just a standard brake/reverse light bulb 3157/4157.

Here's what I think I'd try for that HID look. I'd look into LED, which will have that crisp white look, and won't have a ballast or anything like that.

superbrightleds.com will have what you need for that.

Do the LEDs have the se plug or do you have to solder them in

the plug is determined by the fitment.

so if a LED bulb says it'll fit 4157, all you do is plug it in.

Id get LEDs for the DRLs.

i have 6k hids in my fogs.. i think they are brighter then the low beams since they do not have the reflector cover over them. they will def blind people
