I just bought a 2004 GMC friday, and have been doing alot of reading on this forum.
Can someone help me find out if I have a LLY or LB7?

8th number of vin, 1=lb7 2=lly

Cool, its a 2.....thanks alot.

I have a very slight engine lope at idle.
Wasnt sure if I had injectors going, or after reading it looks like maybe a fuel pressure regulator maybe needing replaced.

Truck has 87K miles.
Runs good.
Just has a very small lope at idle.

Are the LLY injectors any better than the LB7?

use a good additive and add more than the recomended amt for a couple tanks and hopefully it will clear it up.

yea, lly injectors are better. i havent heard or read very many threads with injectors going out on lly's. just the injector solenoid harness, something to do with an ice pick to repair it or something...im sure someone else knows that it is
