I was wondering what effect EFI tunign has on the tow/haul transmission mode and how it all interacts with say a turbo brake EFI tow tune? Also, does the EFI tow tunes with turbo brake change the shift points of the tow/haul transmission mode?

I have used my truck to tow a 6k camper and put it in tow mode, but really thought it shifted too high with that mode. I realize if I was pulling over 10k it would help keep EGT's down. Maybe I just don't reall need it for that weight, but I do like the braking and the fact that the torque convertor locks earlier from what I've read on here.

Use tow/haul if you are towing, the turbo brake is vane position on the turbo, it has nothing directly to do with your TCM or shift points.

the only was to do the tranny is with a TCM tune.

the turbo break works by kicking in within a certain rpm range that the truck typically only goes to while in tow/haul

Sooooo, if I have the EFI tow tune with turbo brake (close vanes) it will only work with the tow/haul mode on?

we can make it where you dont need tow/haul but typically yes that is correct
