The VB gets torqued to 111 inch pounds and 18 FT. LBS on the pan.(According to Mike L so it is right)
The picture of the valve body off of the truck is with all of the bolts installed that can be installed on the bench. So for removing it from the truck you need to take out all the bolts that are not installed in the picture. Also leave a couple of bolts partially installed so you do not drop your valve, that would be bad.
Once you have the valve down the instructions that are included with the kit will get you through the instillation of the shift kit.

When you put the valve back into the truck make sure that you get the little pin back into its track on the shift arm you can see it at the top of the first picture its on the back left side of the valve.

Finally got it done yesterday. Wasn't all that bad. Had a couple close calls with some of the valve body bolts with almost rounding the bolts. Thankfully, the bolts that I couldn't loosen from underneath were ones that stayed in the valve body. I was able to put enough downforce to break the bolts loose and get them out.

Took me about 3.5 hours only because i was tripple checking everything torque and plugs.

And just for reference the check ball goes into the end of the trim valve then the little spring. I just used vaseline on the spring and stuck the ball on it then slid into the valve. on the diagram they provide, doesn't say the check ball, it is the © and there was no key or anything to say that it was the check ball or not.

Or I so that is what I hope, otherwise, I gotta tear it apart again. But it seems to be working just fine. Don't really notice a difference when the allison was warmed up. I did notice a difference when it was cooled down this morning.

I did my trans go install before i be came a member of this great site. Also nice write up from the op but here is a link to the site that i found when i was looking for info on how to do my truck. but this site shows you how to do a complete trans rebuild. The valve body mods are around 3/4 the way down. Hope this helps. Mopar65:drink:drink:drink

also when you get to the section about installing the trans go shift kit. you do not have to pull all the shift valves etc unless you want to, to do a full cleaning? i just drilled the plate and installed the A&B trim valves. hope that clears everything up? Mopar65

So, the Trans Jr. is a set of valves with springs and a set of ball and springs that are locked in place by a metal clip. NO one made it this clear. there are three sets of bolts to remove... that's looks very simple. Even the guy on previous pages on this topic didn't make it that clear. The other link that Mopar posted actually showed pics of the trans go jr and where they go... WOW.... Yeap I am ready to do mine....

This is going to be the first upgrade I will make to my LML, can't wait to get at it

I didn't think the LML needed this kit? Maybe I am wrong.

Shifts nice. No difference really that I notice but it is must if your going to be adding any HP to the engine.

I DD on my 110 tune. Transgo says it's good for upto 500hp.

nice right up!
Working up the courage myself, since I just ordered my EFI Live!

Just installed mine yesterday and have a question, how important is it to clip the wiring harness back onto the valve body? I completely forgot as I was freezing my butt off for about 6 hours installing and already filled the trans with fluid... do I need to drain and clip it back to the vb? Or can it wait a couple weeks so I can order more fluid?

Just got enough courage today to tackle this transgo kit. Not really as hard as I was thinking. Granted, I just finished removing the stock downpipe and installing a diamond eye which is as bad as they say it is:mad: All in all it took around 3-4 hours and if I had to do it again maybe like 1.5 hrs. I do have a big question for you guys though. While I was removing bolts from the valve body I noticed that two bolts were missing near the pink plug in all by itself. Is that normal or something I need to worry about? As far as I can tell it has never been worked on. I bought it from the original owner with 25k miles on it. Also... I know I should have been paying more attention, but I'm not sure I put in the accumulators and springs in correctly. I filled her back up and went through the relearn process. Everything feels smooth and no issues, but I could use a little reassurance by the experts here.
