The VB gets torqued to 111 inch pounds and 18 FT. LBS on the pan.(According to Mike L so it is right)
The picture of the valve body off of the truck is with all of the bolts installed that can be installed on the bench. So for removing it from the truck you need to take out all the bolts that are not installed in the picture. Also leave a couple of bolts partially installed so you do not drop your valve, that would be bad.
Once you have the valve down the instructions that are included with the kit will get you through the instillation of the shift kit.

When you put the valve back into the truck make sure that you get the little pin back into its track on the shift arm you can see it at the top of the first picture its on the back left side of the valve.

after the shift kit install it doesnt seem to shift any harder than it used to??? sometimes it even take to long imo in between shifts when im getting on it. How do you guys do? should it be alot harder shift? when getting into it should it be like a 350 turbo with firm and quick shifts?

maybe i should trans relearn again because i didnt go all the way through the process before i shut the truck off, or does that matter? instructions said to do 3-4 shifts at each stage from soft through full throttle and the do it all over again with tow haul on...

any input??

bamadiesel..WFO!! - To tell you the truth, I don't really feel a diference in shifts either. If anything, it feels smoother and easier to move out of park into drive. I think this might just be from using transsynd fluid though. I also installed Robs efi live tuning at the same time as the exhaust, downpipe, egr plate and transgo jr kit so I wouldn't be able to single out a smooth shift being robs tuning or the transgo kit itself.

Jd4230 and Shov - I really like the 4" exhust w/ quiet tone and muffler. I had rob tune a rumble at idle and it sounds so much better. In the cab it is very quiet and no noticable drone in town or at freeway speeds (I haven't towed with it yet though). I got the exhaust and downpipe mostly for the decreased egt's while towing and better fuel economy (DPF delete).

P.S. Even with those mising bolts in the valve body things seem to be fine... just makes me nervous ya know.

Would a trans relearn be done on highest hp setting?

Subd for future reference. Does anyone know if this would be a bad idea to do to a high mileage trans? Ive heard horror stories about higher pressures on a high mileage trans.

Well I ran into a bump, or should I say wall..I installed the transgo and deep trans pan, put 3 gallons in it and went to start it up and I wasn't able to move the gear selector at all..!?! I might have moved the bracket for the gear selection while removing the VB, is there a pic anywhere where it should be when in Park?

Great post mate. Just wondering if there is any obvious way of knowing if your trans already has a transgo kit fitted. I have imported a LBZ engine and trans to Australia from a wrecked Silverado to fit into a donour vehicle. I don't have much history on the engine or trans other than the vehicle had a frontal impact and have noticed that the trans has a mag hytec deep pan on it and the engine has what I believe to be a wiring harness mod for the egr delete. With these things in mind I'm assuming that who ever owned it must have made a few modifications. I plan on dropping the pan to check it out but any pointers on what to look for would be great.
Thanks for your help in advance
