Background.........

Prodigy Brake Controller
Worked fine in my Dodge 3500

Had it and hitch installed in my 04.5 Chevy 2500HD DMax
Went to move my 5er out of shed to wash. Noticed that controller was supplying continous voltage to trailer brakes. Went by rv dealership and they suggested that since the controller has a lifetime warranty that I take home a brand new one and see if the problem duplicated. At no charge, they let me bring it home and plug it in.

My problem is this........
even with the new one......when my DTRL or my headlights are on, it keeps a constant 1.5 volts supplied to the rv brakes. It will only stop when I turn the adj all the way down OR turn off my DTRL or the headlights. When they are off the controller works fine. All my rv lights are working properly.

I will notify the dealer.

Does anyone have any ideas..........................

It seems to me you already did all the obvious things and then some. Just make sure your wires aren't pinched or broken etc.

The only thing that could sence the brakes are on in the truck is the brake light switch which is usually connected to the back of the brake pedal. However if thats bad then the brake lights should be on.
