Just picked up a 2001 GMC Duramax that takes a wile to start. After waiting for the plugs to heat up it takes 5-7 seconds of the starter turning for it to finally take off.
This is my first duramax ever and I am unfamiliar with this.
Should I replace the glow plugs? Get the injectors cleaned? Something else?
:help:help:help
Thanks for putting up with my ignorance.

First-- have the batteries tested-- be sure to isolate the one being tested. Be sure to replace in like pairs. They are connected together to make one big battery.

Also pump the primer button on the fuel filter housing before starting-- see if that helps.
