I'm new to this group and about to pull the trigger on a 2024 Duramax HD, CC SRW. I test drove both the 2500 and the 3500 and they basically drove the same for me as far as ride quality goes. Any reason to not get the extra capacity? Maybe worse fuel economy? Tax in my state or registration is not an issue nor is insurance. In full transparency this will be my first HD truck, so no experience at this point. We are in the process of deciding on a toy hauler for a 2000 pound Can Am SxS. I realize a 2500 will most likely do the job but why not a 3500?
