I am using the correct Kent Moore install tool (thanks delong_1!) and Victor Reinz seals. Seal doesn't look like it's fully seated to me, but the bolt feels like it bottomed out on something, and I'm scared to tighten it any further for fear of stripping threads. Can anyone confirm if this is in all the way?

It looks right, i would put some silicon sealer around the outer edge.

The part that doesn't look right to me is the lip on the inner seal sticking out past the crank gear or whatever that flat part is called. Seems like it would interfere with the balancer seating all the way.

Well I am an idiot. I did not remove the inner part of the old seal before trying to install the new one. Didn't realize when I removed the front and rear covers that the inner seal stayed on the crank shaft. I for sure ruined the new front seal, possible the rear one as well. Sigh.
