Is this normal or does anyone elses truck do this? When I put it in reverse to get into my driveway which is about a 20 degree incline, the truck spins the tires really easy. I have to really feather the throttle like on ice in order for it to go up without spinning. It is not the same when in drive. I'm just curious if this is a typical Allison thing. Thanks for any help.

Gravel or concrete? These trucks have quite a bit of torque & no weight in the rear end. That is probably why.

It's concrete. Good point about less weight over the rear. My work truck doesn't have the problem but it has a few hundred pounds in the bed.

Yes, mines about 20 degrees also. Just from being light in the ass. I have to give it a little bump on the throttle before i leave the flat part or it just spins

Same here. Need a bit of speed to get up without doing the smoke show in reverse in my drive way. Fifthwheel hitch solved the problem for me.
