Hey all, some of you may remember me and my 08 lmm. It was sporting a built trans, 10mm cp3, s369sxe and a whole lot of other supporting mods. I traded it off january of 2018 for a 2018 halfton with the 6.2. That only lasted about 8 months and had to get myself back in a duramax! I picked up a fully loaded 2016 crew cab, black interior black exterior. I am finally getting enough done to the pickup that ive decided to do a build thread.


As you all know me, i cant leave anything stock. I remember taking it on my test drive putting it to the wood and thinking this it it? :rof So i instantly contacted Blake at UnleashedDurmaxTuning and got some tunes ordered up. Truck got a 5" jamo straight pipe exhaust installed along with some tunes. Drove it on a 90hp tune for about a month then the quest for more power came.

Next came a fass 165 titanium along with a deviant sump with return. Obviously with a lift pump comes a larger 150hp tune. Drove on this for a good 4 months and was happy. Never have really beat on this truck like i did the lmm. I did 2 4wd launches with it and was dam happy where it was.

Sometime in that first 4 months i got my windows and winshield tinted as well. Ended up going 15% all the way around, 50% on the whole shield with a 5% strip.


Just a couple weeks ago i finally bought a deviant epc fooler plug, new internal and external trans filters, and 12 quarts of dex 6. Installed the fooler along with new filters and fluid and bumped trans line pressure up to around 280psi constant. This mod helps the trans hold that 500-600whp depending on your driving conditions.

I then asked my tuner for a 200whp which absolutely rips, but tasking the cp4 that hard has me a bit worried. So just the other day i ordered up a SDP cp3 conversion with exergy sportsman pump from Scott over at SDP. The sportsman pump will get me much more reliability and around 650whp. Now the egr needs to get deleted fully with this conversion so i am on the quest of figuring out what parts i want to go about that.

Just added pics to the original post! Would love to do another 369 down the road. Obviously the egr needs to go for cp3 swap, really leaning towards sdp’s y bridge and intercooler pipes. They can be used with the 369 kit later on down the road as well.

They are badass turbos. I ran stock on my lmm, modded 63.5 vgt then the 369. I never had a healthy cp3 that maintained rail pressure till the 369. Nothing beats the sound of the 369 though. Such a nice deep cackle and crazy compressor whistle. Get the best of both worlds with it!

I’ve had mine for about a year and since i like to do shit the hard way, not to mention the expensive way, my truck has been in pieces for about 7-8 months

Lookin good man! Looking forward to see what parts you use because mine needs the same treatment. Except probably only a 150hp tune max lol. Happy with Blake’s tunes? He is who I was going to go with.

You got a built trans in that? I had mark tune mine and should have been making 650-675 on a crazy hot 3300uS tune.

Do you have a lml too or lbz in the sig? I know I’m going to do a dmaxstore downpipe, probably just cut and weld riser on stock up pipe. Just debating on a full y bridge setup or just a cheap tube from grid heater to y bridge.

Blake’s tunes are phenomenal. I would never run Korys tunes again. Marks tunes were great too but idk if he does anything with lml’s. Just seen a lot of hype on Blake’s tunes and used to talk to him quite a bit on dd.

Trans is built by Evan at Limitless and sitting in the garage. Need to order a new rear cover for the motor before getting that in.

Haha I’m going to do the exact same thing when i buy a new truck. I’ve already told myself tune and delete/ wheels and tires only
