I took my truck to a tranny specialist to get transgo jr installed. I left edge evo race on level 2 when i dropped off. Do I need to return to stock programming so the computer can calibrate when driving this thing for a while. I was told it calibrates shifting patterns as it is driven. They told me they were going to unplug my tuner and drive it for a while. I told them not to cause the dpf had been deleted and it needed to be set on at least level 1. Any insight for you guys that installed the jr kit and how you broke it in afterwards.
thanks

I would not return it to stock, just drive it easy for a while and then a little harder. Don't hammer it right away! Still you have to be care with the high RPM and shifting up or down 5 and 6.

The JR is a good mod, but will not prevent the trans from limping.

If 90 hp(at the wheels) is safe on a stock tranny, what hp setting can you run safely with the transgo jr. installed???

anytime you change the power or something in the trans it needs to relearn. Have the TAPS reset then set the tune you normally drive on and do the following procedure.

Start at 1/4 throttle working your way through all of the gears the 1/2 then 3/4 then full. The put it in town/haul and do the same, letting it downshift while you coast.

Then go out and do a series of under throttle downshifts where the transmission has to downshift due to added power demand, do these soft then hard.

Then it should take anothr couple hundred miles and it will be shifting smoothly again
