2020 High Country
Stock, who needs more?
My first Duramax and I'm hooked. The power pulling my motorcycle trailer up thru the mountains in the west is unbelievable.
Hard to say my favorite place to take it, but a notable location was on the road over the mountains in Colorado. Scenic 12 up Cuchara Pass Cty rd 364 to Cordova Pass cty rd 46 to Aguilar. Good luck on finding this on the map.
Figured I’d make my first post here be me tossing my hat in the ring for ROTM
2019 L5P LT
upgrades:
Suspensionmaxx Leveling kit, fox 2.0’s all the way around, method race wheels, BFG KM3 35x12.5, banks intake, banks derringer, banks pedal monster, Black Market Performance CAT fuel filter adapter.
Had her for about a year and a half and absolutely love it! The perfect truck for everything in my life from hauling equipment to the jobsite, hauling boats to the river, being a chase vehicle for various off-road teams and even commuting to work!
Been a Chevy guy since my '67 Camaro SS back in the mid 70's! This will be my 9th truck and 3rd Duramax. Sold my last 2007 Classic 2500HD Crew Cab Silverado LT in January (LBZ, Gray Metallic, 20" Wheels, 35" BFG's, 6" lift w/add-a-leaf and Cognito upper control arms, AFE cold air intake, Bilstein shocks, Edge CTS chipped, 4" exhaust, FASS lift pump, etc., etc., etc...loved that truck...only 86k original miles. Wish I could put pictures of it up here too), for our new 2021 Chevy 3500HD Crew Cab .
Upgrades: Zone 5" lift w/Fox 2.0 shocks, 20" wheels, 37" Toyo R/T's, roll-up tonneau cover, add-a-leaf on rears, and every extra they had, plus tinted the windows and windshield...for a bit more towing power and luxury! Not really sure if it even needs a cold air intake and chipping, but still thinking about maybe adding a FASS lift pump system, a Banks Pedal Monster and upgrading the oil and tranny coolers. This truck is sweet and has a lot of power! I saw the new body lines, upgrades, the 10 speed Alison w/ the L5P Duramax and the Northsky Blue Metallic paint (looks good with our company logo)...had to have it! Only about 4,000 miles on it so far.
Love this truck!!! We use it as a company truck (hauling video gear to shoots), a boat / travel / toy trailer hauler...and as my daily driver.
We're looking forward to many years with this bad boy!
2004 lb7 3500 LT with a stage 2 Allison trans, ppe tune, 4” mbrp T304 exhaust, cold air intake and I t also has airbags in the rear. I switched from owning a couple 99-03 7.3’s, I could not be happier with the decision I made and I’m sure AAA is going to miss me. I also don’t need to keep a pair of walking shoes in the back anymore. It’s nice towing and not feeling what’s behind me and the transmission shifts perfect. After I bought it 2 weeks ago I had to clean it up a bit and took about 10 hours total which I’m still not done. I used a clay bar on the entire truck, then did a 3 stage buff followed by a sealant that’s kinda pricey but it’s used on private jets. I’m satisfied for now but next is touch up paint work, new stock frontend, taillights are banged up, lift up the torsion bars in the front and and putting on 285’s. I’m leaving it stock looking and just going to put my money into the motor and more of a comfortable suspension.
Upgrades:
Rough Country 3.5” leveling kit (stock rear/no blocks) Fox 2.0 adjustable shocks, BDS steering stabilizer kit, 18” Fuel wheels, 37x12.50 Nitto Trail Grapplers, LED exterior lighting and ceramic tint. Keeping it clean, simple and as functional as possible.
This is my daily and the family road trip vehicle so there’s tons of good memories with it already and many more to come.
2020 LTZ Standard Box Northsky Blue - custom ordered, bone stock, loving the fuel mileage.
