So I got my 5 tunes from Rob yesterday and my switch. I have not installed my dsp 5 yet so im running on my mod stock tune only. I got rob to turn my egr off in tunes but wont be able to put blocker plate in until wednesday. The problem is when im at a stoplight etc in drive and truck at idle it starts shaking my floor boards like hell and almost like motor is pulsing. Truck makes a loping sound almost. If i put it in park while its doing this it goes right away and smooths put and when I accelerate it smooths out and goes away. Is this from egr turned off and me not having blocker plate in? I hope thats all it is. Also stock mod tune smokes pretty damn hard if I get on it hard im not complaning cause I like a little smoke. Is it normsl though? Im new to all this diesel stuff. I cant say enough about Rob and Dustin. Customer service at its best. Dustin has helped me a ton and id hire that guy in a second. I wish my employes treated all my customers half as good as they have me. Thanks again

Email rob first. Tell him what's going on, and let him tinker with the tuning if that's the issue.

I have sent him an email but didnt know if this was a common issue with egr off but not blocked. I didnt wanna bother him if not needed plus it wold ease my mind:cookoo[1]:

If it started after loading the tunes, get ahold of rob. I don't know if it's related to the erg or not, but he should.

I would personally suggest putting the blocker plate in and dsp5 switch and then see if it goes away before emailing him.. He built the tunes for a certain setup...I wouldnt even of loaded them until it was setup

I have his v2 that I need to get back to him Plate goes in weds but I dont wanna hold his v2 until then. Thats why I asked. Ill just talk to rob I have read tons of post on people having egr turned off but no plate in. Just wanted to see if this was a common issue.

weird. my truck smoked a shit load before i put my blocker plate in on my 100hp tune and now it doesnt at all after the install. this normal? sorry for thread jacking

the LMM's act weird if we turn off egr and you dont put the plates in.

i would just put the plate.

Not only does Dustin respond here he contacts me directly to ease my mind. I figured it was just not having plate in. I cant say enough about Dustin that guy is so damn helpful. If any of you guys are on the fence about efi live like I was call him and trust what he says kid knows his stuff. Now I gotta change my sig

I don't have a plate in on my lmm yet and I have the egr turned off with no problems. Hope this goofy shit doesn't happen to me when I get a real tune.

There is a difference between tuned out and turned off. Just realize that.
