i need to get under there and measure some things :)

i know i can get a single in there for a temporary setup, but think i will look at the Skyjacker pieces i removed and see about retrofitting them or coming up with something new that will work

they require 4" of front end lift because the outer brackets "ears" will hit the LCA when its moving

and since nobody has a dual kit that works similar to the skyjacker kit, i will need to figure something out

got plenty of 1/4" steel plate at work, the only downside is how it attaches to the centerlink......i could mimic skyjackers way on how it mounts but its not guaranteed NOT to roll on the centerlink (which in theory doesnt matter) but i'd like it to have a bar come off the centerlink stud area and with rubber bushings (like those on the centerlink) attached AROUND the centerlink,...and have a drop down bracket

that way its not metal on metal on the freshly powdercoated centerlink....and it would be rubber....maybe even grooved with a grease fitting :rof

should be fun..if i have time

Just like 1100 miles lmao it truly would cost just about the same either way, but if I go down to LA, or my grandmother were to pass through there, trying to hold off right now.
Wait til I can do a few goodies at once.

here is me ripping the ugly piece off the cab that holds the fender up...

my advice, if anyone chooses to do this.....trace the outline of this piece on the cab before removing... i learned real quick how fun it was to line a fender up with this piece loose nono

i painted the driverside bracket too, but did not install....i wont do that until the fenders are ready, again,,......even though the driverside one was painted, where as the passenger side one wasnt?!?!?!?!

7mm holds the antenna on
13mm holds the bracket on
T15 torque holds the plastic flap on (there is a bolt behind the flap)

thats as clean as it gets before going abrasive

got the piece cleaned and painted

2nd picture is of it drying, hanging from the front of the truck :)

remove the 2nd battery tray to make sure its not in your way trying to hang the fender

btw

i'm not mad at my cousin

he can only do so much, and it was free :(

he did a great job with the body work, and made an awesome shine to a white fender, but even though the paint code was the same....it didnt match Downerrr

no worries :thumb

he'll still paint the blue truck, no colormatching there :)
